Can you accept card payments on Wix in Trinidad and Tobago?

Yes. Wix Payments is not available in Trinidad and Tobago, but Wix's own country list shows PayPal, CXPay and Tilopay for T&T — and any other gateway can be added to your site as a custom payment provider. That is the route that puts a Trinidad gateway into your Wix checkout and TTD into your own bank account. Paperless Blueprint builds, tests and maintains that connection.

Three of these are listed by Wix for T&T. The others we connect as a custom payment provider. All of them can put money in a Trinidad account except one — and that one is the one most people start with.

Wix listings are from the Wix Help Center country list, checked September 2026. Keron Rose reported in 2022 that most Caribbean markets are not eligible for PayPal withdrawal access, which is why the PayPal row reads the way it does. Tilopay is the official First Atlantic Commerce bridge to Wix, announced 2021, and its fee is widely reported at 1 percent per transaction on top of your processor — Newsday, 2023.

Wix Payments Trinidad FAQs

Yes. Wix Payments is not available here, but Wix lists PayPal, CXPay and Tilopay for Trinidad and Tobago, and any other gateway can be added to your site as a custom payment provider. Which route is right depends on which bank you use and whether you already hold a merchant account. Checked against Wix's own country list in September 2026.

The ones that reach a local account are CXPay, Tilopay through your First Atlantic Commerce merchant account, PowerTranz through that same rail, Fygaro, and WiPay into your WiPay account. Settlement is in TTD, with USD where your gateway and your account both support it. PayPal is the exception — it pays into a PayPal balance rather than your bank.

For any gateway that settles to a local bank, yes. Republic Bank, First Citizens, Scotiabank and RBC all sell an e-commerce merchant account, and it is a separate product from your ordinary business account — a different application, with its own approval. Some platform-style gateways can onboard you without one. We will tell you which applies before you apply anywhere.

It varies by bank and by the kind of business you run. Most Trinidad banks charge a monthly fee for the merchant facility plus a percentage of each transaction, and the percentage depends on your risk profile and volume. We do not publish bank pricing here because it moves and it is not ours to quote. Your bank will give you current terms.

It is the same gateway work on a different platform. On Shopify the connection lives in the Shopify payment settings; on Wix it is a payment provider written into your own site, which then appears in Wix's Accept Payments. Start by getting the merchant account, because that is the part with a queue. While it is in progress we can build the payment provider into your Wix site so it is ready the day your credentials arrive. Manual payments keep working the whole time — nothing switches off until you have taken a real test card payment and you are happy.
