What's not included

Shopify handles the platform-level stuff — SSL, PCI compliance, security patching and uptime — automatically, as part of your Shopify plan, so it isn't something we bill you for or duplicate. A monthly plan is the tangible work on top: store updates, on-page SEO upkeep, and development hours. It is not an unlimited development retainer, and we'd rather say so on this page than in an invoice. Not included:

  • Automated full-store backups (Shopify doesn't offer a seamless native backup — we duplicate your theme before every change so we can roll it back, and can set you up with a dedicated backup app on request)
  • Full theme redesigns
  • New store builds and new custom apps beyond your hour allowance (quoted separately as a project — see Shopify development; it is genuinely one of our specialties, not a bolt-on)
  • New payment gateway integrations from scratch (troubleshooting and monitoring an integration you already have is included; building a new one is a project)
  • Shopify migrations (onto or off Shopify)
  • SEO campaigns and ad management
  • Product photography and content writing

Both, but they are separate engagements. A brand-new store build is quoted as a project — start at our Shopify development page, or our Trinidad and Tobago Shopify developer page if you are in the Caribbean. The monthly plans on this page are for stores that are already live: ongoing store updates, theme and app work, on-page SEO upkeep and real development hours every month.

Every plan includes monthly Shopify development hours for store updates such as product uploads, banner and homepage swaps, and price and inventory changes, plus safe theme and app updates tested on a duplicate theme first, on-page SEO upkeep, broken-link fixes, a named developer and a monthly report. Care+ adds deeper SEO, speed optimization and conversion tweaks; Partner adds payment gateway and API integration support.

Our monthly Shopify plans are $379 for Care with 2 hours of Shopify development a month, $799 for Care+ with 5 hours plus deeper SEO and conversion work, and $1,450 for Partner with 10 hours plus payment gateway and API support. All plans are month-to-month and billed in USD. Extra time beyond your allowance is 175 US dollars an hour, agreed before we start.

Custom app builds are quoted separately as a project — it's one of our specialties, not a bolt-on. What your monthly hours DO cover is fixing, adjusting and troubleshooting apps you already have installed, including ones we did not originally build.

Yes — this is where we differ from most Shopify maintenance providers. We have connected 10+ payment gateways and APIs to Shopify stores, including building the first fully-capable Republic Bank Shopify payment app in the Caribbean. On the Partner plan, troubleshooting and monitoring your existing payment or API integration is included; building a brand-new integration is quoted as its own project.

It shouldn't reach your live store in the first place — every update we run is tested on a duplicate theme first. If something does break, we investigate and fix it as part of your monthly hours, whichever plan you're on.

Partly. Unused hours roll over up to 25 percent of your monthly allowance, and rolled-over hours expire after 60 days. A Care+ plan (5 hours) can carry a maximum of 75 minutes into the next month.

No lock-in. Every plan is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. Pay annually and get two months free. If you leave, your store is yours — we hand over credentials, documentation of what we changed, and a written summary of how everything is set up.

Yes, after a paid onboarding audit. An unfamiliar theme, app stack and payment setup is an unknown risk, so before we take responsibility for keeping a store running we review it properly — theme, apps, checkout and payment gateway — and tell you what we find, in writing, whether or not you go ahead.

We offer fast, responsive support — typically within hours, not days — across every plan, with priority queueing on Care+ and Partner. We do not publish a fixed response-time guarantee because we would rather under-promise than tie you to a number we cannot always hit.

Shopify hosts and secures your store, but we don't manage backups as part of a monthly plan — there's no seamless native backup on Shopify, so we'd rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. Before we make a change we duplicate your theme so we can roll edits back, and we can export your product catalog on request. For automated full-store snapshots, we can set you up with a dedicated backup app.
